Caring for ourselves + each other through the body.

about the workshops
 ︎︎︎

Universities are marked by an explosion of concerns around mental health and institutional inequity – experiences of overwhelm, isolation and discrimination are all too common amongst staff, students and researchers. These concerns often overlap and contribute to rising drop-out rates amongst students, as well as frustration and burnout amongst staff.

Rebellious Care’s practical and experiential workshops draw on simple arts-based and body-centred practices to support staff and students to better care for themselves and each other.

Our workshops support participants to centre self - and collective care, and offer embodied and equitable approaches to wellbeing at university.

The workshops complement the cerebral and textual focus of the university space by inviting ways of regulating and connecting through the body:

No prior experience required!

I was surprised about how much our body tells us and knows already – if we just pay enough attention to it.
