Rebellious Care offers bespoke workshops to university staff and students around the UK.

Rebellious Care workshops promote wellbeing at university, and aim to improve both staff and student experience.

Universities are marked by overwork and overwhelm. Our practical, experiential workshops draw on simple arts-based and body-centred practices to support staff and students to better care for themselves and each other.

Our workshops complement the cerebral and textual focus of the university space by centring ways of regulating and connecting through the body.

Workshop topics can include:

What would caring for ourselves look like here?
︎︎︎ Learn practical tools to reduce anxiety, + strategies to soothe and re-energise

What really matters to me/us?
︎︎︎ Cultivate joy at work through collective visioning and body-centred prioritising

How can I strengthen my work/life boundaries?
︎︎︎ Build embodied consent with yourself and your team

What would help us work together better?
︎︎︎ Translate the ideals of collegiality into sustainable and replicable actions and behaviours

How might the body help us address inequalities?
︎︎︎ Learn body-centred practices to surface and respond to challenging power dynamics

How can I care for myself while doing research?
︎︎︎ Embodied techniques to support the challenges of fieldwork, interviews and archival work
